Liam Payne: Biography, Early Life, Personal Life of Pop Star.

Liam James Payne was an English songwriter and singer. He was a member of the popular pop group, One Direction which is referred to as, one of the best-selling boy bands of all time. The group consisted of 4 other members namely, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson.

Born on 29 August 1993, he auditioned twice on the British television series, The X Factor in 2008 and 2010. In the 2010 audition alongside fellow contestants, he was invited to join One Direction, ranking third and later achieving global success.

When the One Direction pop music band went on a hiatus in 2016, Liam Payne went on a solo music career, signing on with the North American music label, Republic Records. This fit saw him release his debut solo single “Strip That Down”, in 2017. The song made it to number three on the UK Singles Chart, and top ten on the US Billboard HOT 100. Receiving multi-platinum certifications in both countries.

In 2018, he released the song “For You” which he sang with Rita Ora. The song was an instant hit worldwide, receiving Gold or Platinum certifications in several countries around the world.

Payne released his debut solo album LP1 in December 2019. During the first three years of his solo music career, Liam Payne sold over 18 million singles, 2.4 million albums, and amassing over 3.9 billion streams. Payne in addition to his solo works, produced remixes under the pseudonyms Big Payno and Payno, remixing tracks for both his group and for singer Cheryl.

Liam James Payne was born on August 29, 1993, to Geoff Payne, a fitter, and Karren Payne, an infant Nurse, in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England, at New Cross Hospital in the Heath Town. Until the age of four, he had regular tests done in hospital as doctors noticed one of his kidneys was scarred and dysfunctional. He was born three weeks premature and suffered frequent illness as a result of that. He has two older sisters named Ruth and Nicola.

He was heavily involved in sports as a student. In 2008, Liam Payne almost made it to the England’s U-18 field and track Olympics team to compete in the 1500-meter run. He became the third fastest Nationwide in his age group, having gotten a personal best record time of 4:24mins.
Due to complaints of bullying by fellow students in secondary school, he started taking boxing lessons at the age of 12.

Before moving on to study music technology at City of Wolverhampton College, he had completed 11 GCSEs at St Peter’s Collegiate School (now St Peter’s Collegiate Academy) He got introduced to the world of show business at 12 years old, as a member of the Pink Productions Theatre Company, appearing as Tony Manero from Saturday Night Fever. Liam Payne had previously performed in front of a crowd of 26,000 during a Wolverhampton Wanderers football match.

In 2019, Liam started dating Mayra Henry, and the couple got engaged in 2020. Though their engagement lasted only 10 months after they broke up, they reunited and kickstarted things soon after. The couple later separated again in 2022. He had previously dated dancer Danielle Peazer, social star Sophia Smith and singer Cheryl Fernandez-Versini. He and Cheryl had a son named Bear together in March 2017. He dated Kate Cassidy from 2022 to 2024.

Liam Payne and his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, on October 2, had travelled to Argentina to renew his United States O VISA, at the U.S embassy in Buenos Aires, and also attend The Show: Live on Tour by Horan. The pair stayed in an AIRBNB apartment initially but had to relocate to a hotel when his Visa application was delayed and their booking expired. Cassidy had returned back to her home in Florida on 14 October and on 16 October 2024, Payne died after falling from a third-floor balcony at the CasaSur hotel in the Palermo neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, at the age of 31.
